Root
Cause Workshop Overview:
This
hands-on one day workshop allows participants
to learn a result oriented and team driven
process that uncovers root causes of an event.
Most healthcare organizations attempt to use
traditional root cause programs that were
designed for investigating "closed system
events." Healthcare organizations operate
in what could be described as "open
systems." This program uses team
communication and consensus decision making
concepts to quickly and efficiently discover
the root causes of any problem. This
‘hands-on" approach focuses on team
communication and critical thinking to better
understand the causal factors of any adverse
event. The six step process stresses fact
finding, team communication, critical
thinking, and techniques to expose all root
causes of a problem. The process also teaches
teams how to discover, select, and implement
solutions using a "tactical plan".
WARNING! : Learning this process could lead to
more effective problem solving, enhanced team
effectiveness, and improved organizational
performance. Remember that this workshop
teaches the process and not just theory.
Participants do not need any prior knowledge
of root cause concepts. Open enrollment
programs are conducted at various locations as
well as custom in-house training. Registration
fees vary from $449.00
- $599.00.
